Kōrero: Diverse Christian churches

Korean Presbyterian Church, Auckland

Korean Presbyterian Church, Auckland

These young people are attending a service at the Hanouri Korean Presbyterian Church in Glenfield on Auckland's North Shore. Of the more than 30,000 Korean migrants in New Zealand, about 90% attend church regularly, seeking not only spiritual support but also social contacts and business opportunities. Pastor Israel Park, youth minister at Hanouri Presbyterian, New Zealand's largest Korean church, says hundreds attend activities such as language courses, music lessons and cooking classes.
