Catholic community life: Catholic Women's League, 1960s

These members of the Catholic Women's League singing group in Upper Hutt, north of Wellington, are dressed for a performance. The Catholic Women's League was established in New Zealand in 1931 and carried out charitable, intellectual and, as in this 1960s photo, social activities. It was still active in the early 21st century.
