Lake Rotoiti

Mist hovers over Lake Rotoiti, in Nelson Lakes National Park. In summer the lake’s surface can have a thin layer of warmer water, up to 20ºC, but deeper down the temperature hovers around 7ºC, winter and summer. Rotoiti means ‘little lake’.
