Members of the group meet regularly with officials to talk about policy and penal practices that affect voluntary organisations working with prisoners and their families. At the first meeting of this group (clockwise from back left) were Phil McCarthy (Corrections rehabilitation general manager), David Major (Prison Chaplaincy Service of Aotearoa New Zealand national director), Russell Underwood (Corrections national volunteer advisor), Brendan Anstiss (Corrections service development manager), Lyanne Kerr (Prisoners' Aid and Rehabilitation Societies national director) and Kim Workman (Prison Fellowship of New Zealand national director).
