Binge drinking

Binge drinking

Students at the University of Otago drink beer from a bong – a funnel and pipe combination that uses gravity to force the beer into your stomach when you suck on it. Binge drinking, defined as having more than five drinks in one session, has been tolerated and even celebrated in New Zealand culture, but attitudes are changing as people become more aware of the social costs.
