Kōrero: Midlife adults

Five generations

Five generations

This is Dunedin woman Vicky Begg (second from right), aged 48, in 2009 with her grandson, daughter, father and grandmother – a family group spanning five generations.

Midlife adults in the 2000s are sometimes said to belong to the 'sandwich generation' because they can be responsible for family members from both older and younger generations.
