In 2009 Hamilton real estate agent Bobbie Jarvis continued to work full-time at age 80 through choice. Increasing numbers of people are continuing to do paid work after they reach 65, which has been the traditional age of retirement. Some are not ready to retire then, while others cannot afford to.
