Whale blanket

Whale blanket

New inventions continue being made to meet new and old needs. Te Korowai o Tangaroa (Tangaroa’s cloak) is a plastic blanket that keeps stranded whales cool and moist for long periods. Invented by designer Jamaine Fraser of Te Arawa, it was runner-up in the New Zealand stage of the 2009 James Dyson Award.
