Colin Murdoch's tranquilliser gun can be used with a variety of firearms, depending on the nature of the animal being tranquillised. Here Murdoch (left) and a colleague are shown with a wild zebra, successfully tranquillised by a dart from the modified rifle he is holding.

Colin Murdoch's greatest legacy to mankind was his disposable hypodermic syringe.Why is this not mentioned? This was the invention he was most proud of & one that ssved millions of lives.
