The Bank of New Zealand building on Waterloo Quay, Wellington, was completed in 2008. The glass facade is suspended from large steel beams at roof level, using steel rod hangers. Known as a 'curtain wall', this system is commonly used to wall in skyscrapers. The glass does not contribute to the support structure of the building.
