Bricklayers

Bricklayers

Bricklayers building the public hospital in Stratford, Taranaki, in 1906 or 1907, pose for the photographer. They display the tools of their trade – buckets holding mortar, a trowel for spreading it, and hods – three-sided wooden boxes on poles for carrying bricks.
