Tasman pulp and paper mill, Kawerau

Tasman pulp and paper mill, Kawerau

The Tasman pulp and paper mill was the largest industrial plant in New Zealand in the 1960s. Most New Zealand factories were small enterprises, with the only exceptions being primary processing plants like freezing works, and those factories which drew on New Zealand’s resources, such as this mill which turned wood into pulp and paper.
