Wind power

Wind is a fast growing source of power in New Zealand. These turbines, scattered over the top of the Ruahine and Tararua ranges, were part of the Te Āpiti and Tararua wind farms, two of the nine wind farms operative in 2009. A further 23 wind farms were being developed.
