Kōrero: Clothing and footwear manufacturing

De Luen & Co.

De Luen & Co.

Staff of Palmerston North tailoring firm De Luen & Co. pose for the camera, about 1905. This was the business of Arthur de Luen; his wife Elizabeth ran her own establishment, Madame de Luen, nearby. She made garments for the wealthier residents of Palmerston North and the Manawatū, but also produced some cheaper off-the-peg items.
