New Zealand Stock Exchange Gazette

This is the front page of the first edition of the Stock Exchange Gazette, which was set up by the New Zealand Stock Exchange Association in 1929. The paper did not last long after the editor, Ronald Corson, suggested that some Auckland brokers had worked together to artificially lift the price of some mining shares. The association abandoned the paper and set up a new monthly publication, The Official Record of the Stock Exchanges of New Zealand.
