Juggling paid work with childcare is still usually more of a problem for mothers than for fathers, especially when children are very young. Tania is a part-time school teacher from Ruatōria on the East Coast, and a mother of five children aged from seven months to 14 years old. This chart shows her frantic working day. She says, ‘It’s all about time management, eh? You can’t waste a minute.’
