Kōrero: Ferries

Auckland’s Eaglehawk arrives at Mechanics Bay with a load of cars and passengers in the 1930s. Although most people think of ferries as people-movers, there are also cargo and vehicle ferries. In 2009 Auckland had small vehicular ferries, and Northland communities were linked by car ferries.
