Assisting at a road accident

Firefighters are frequently called to motor vehicle accidents such as this one in Hawke’s Bay in 2006. A van and a four-wheel drive vehicle collided at an intersection, killing one passenger in the van, and seriously injuring another passenger and the driver. Firefighters had the grisly task of cutting free the dead passenger.
