Kōrero: Williams, Jane

Wives of Anglican bishops, probably early 1860s

A group of formally-dressed women and a boy under a tree, some seated and some standing.

This blurred photograph shows (standing from left) Emily Harper, wife of Henry Harper; Sarah Selwyn, wife of George Selwyn; Caroline Abraham, wife of Charles Abraham and (seated) Jane Williams, wife of William Williams. The little boy is thought to be Caroline Abraham's son, Charlie.
