Street musicians

A musical trio plays some tunes on an Auckland street in 1914. Busking licences were usually only issued to disabled people or very poor people who had no other means of making a living. During the 1930s economic depression Wellington City Council issued licences to the unemployed, but applicants had to first prove they were long-term residents. Complaints about the buskers would lead to them being quickly moved on by authorities.
