Hairdressing has been in the Harach family for decades. Picture here at his salon is Constantin (left), with other family members Marie, her daughter Carina, and Tony. The first family member emigrated from Lebanon in the early 1900s, opening a hair salon in Wellington’s Cuba Street. He returned home on many occasions, telling tales of his new country. Soon other members of the family came over. Tony arrived in 1967 and tried his hand at a variety of businesses and jobs. Meanwhile, in the early 1990s, Constantin plumped for the same business his great-uncle had chosen 80 years earlier.
