Pet rabbits need protection against rabbit haemorrhagic disease (RHD), which is common among wild rabbits. Pet rabbit Bun Bun was taken to the Lower Hutt Animal Hospital in August 1997 for vaccination, much to the concern of her owner, five-year-old Leto Sheils.
