Feeding the calves

A farm wife and her daughter feed milk to calves on a Te Aroha farm in 1970. Although women’s role on farms was mainly domestic they did continue to help out part-time. This was especially so on dairy farms and also when seasonal pressures were acute, such as at lambing or calving.
