Here the Claris family pose in front of their newly-cleared land at Waiteika Road, Ōpunake, Taranaki about 1902. The parents, William and Emily, are accompanied by (from left) Warwick, Maurice, Millie, Mercy, and the oldest son, Hollie. All, plus dogs, would have worked around the farm.
