The banks of rivers and streams regularly erode, especially when they are in flood. The rate of erosion will depend on many factors, such as the frequency of floods, the type of subsoil in the stream banks, the amount and type of vegetation on the banks, and the gradient of the stream. This stream shows typical, active erosion, especially on the outside curves, on both sides of an entrenched stream on a Raglan farm.
