Wooden clog

Clogs were traditionally used by the Dutch as overshoes for working outside. This clog was one of a pair that Adriana Pieters may have brought with her to wear on her husband’s farm in New Zealand.

Hi. I just wanted to let you know that in the Netherlands “klompen” or clogs are not used as “overshoes” as it states here! Clogs are actually warn as normal shoes with traditionally very thick socks made from goats wool.
