Carts and carriages park at Frank Siddon’s central stables in Rangiora on market day, in the early 20th century. The vehicles belonged to local farmers and their families, who came to town to buy and sell goods, perhaps visit the local lawyer, have a gossip in the tearooms or pub, and then drive back home.
