Urban gravel garden (2 o 3)

Urban gravel garden

Carolyn Reece has planted a dry gravel garden to accompany her Mexican-style house in Manurewa, Auckland. Although this garden, with its sparsely planted succulents, sedges and palms, looks easy to maintain, it will probably need constant attention in Auckland’s winter months when weed seedlings readily sprout in the gravel, and plants are susceptible to root rot.
