Mission Estate semillon

Mission Estate semillon

This wine has been made from semillon grapes infected with botrytis, a grey mould fungus. In warm, wet weather, botrytis is a serious problem for growers as it rots the grapes. Sometimes, though, the grapes shrivel up instead of rotting, and can be made into sweet-tasting wines.
