Women’s Division protest

The downturn in farming that followed the restructuring of the economy by the Labour government in 1984 led to widespread rural protest. These members of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers are marching on Parliament in 1986. At front right is Owen Jennings, who was on the council of Federated Farmers at the time and later became its president.
