Bollywood meets kapa haka

Bollywood meets kapa haka

Indian stars Ravi Deja and Assin (at left) were joined by members of the Queenstown Māori Performance Group in a dance during a break in their filming schedule in 2003. The Indian performers were filming scenes for Mother, father and a Tamil girl, a typical Bollywood production including musical numbers. New Zealand, with its dramatic scenery, mild climate and lack of pollution, is becoming a popular Bollywood film location.
