Kōrero: Rural recreation

Lions Club project

Lions Club project

In 2008 members of the Waiareka Valley Lions club organised the restoration of a monument to the Corriedale sheep breed, at the township of Corriedale in North Otago. Club president Bob Kingan (left) and members Hugh Matheson and Allan Thompson pose with a Corriedale ewe beside the monument, which they consider an important piece of rural history.
