Spray irrigation

Spray irrigation

Irrigation applied at the correct times during the growth of the crop can boost yields. This paddock of wheat is being irrigated on a North Otago farm at the time that the grain is forming. This will result in bigger grain. If the crop does not get water at this stage of its growth, the seed will not fill out.
