Auctioning sheep (2 o 3)

Auctioning sheep

An auctioneer takes bids at a sheep sale in the 1940s. Behind him is his ‘spotter’ looking for other bidders. When farming is buoyant, stock auctions can be exciting as bidders try to outdo each other to buy sheep. However, in hard times auctions can be depressing when pen after pen fails to attract bidders.
