Dairy Shorthorn (2 o 2)

Dairy Shorthorn

This is a milking or dairy Shorthorn cow, bred for milk production. Strawberry roan (pictured) and plain bronze-red are typical coat colours. Although they were popular in the late 19th century, milking Shorthorns are just a small minority of New Zealand's dairy herd in the 2000s.
