This wooden sculpture of a forestry worker holding a chainsaw stands in the centre of Tokoroa, a reminder of its history as a timber town. The sculpture, ‘The Pine Man of Tokoroa’, was created by artist Peter Dooley and presented to the district by the Tokoroa Rotary Club in 2004.
