Lime

Lime is not strictly a fertiliser, but has the effect of raising soil pH level, or reducing soil acidity. By improving conditions for soil-dwelling creatures, it also improves plant growth. Lime is mined from quarries in the North Island and South Island, and is crushed into a form suitable for spreading.
