Matagouri associates – mingimingi

Mingimingi (Coprosma propinqua) is a common associate of matagouri. With its dark, spiky stems and bushy habit, it even resembles matagouri when seen from a distance. However, mingimingi has colourful fleshy fruit while matagouri fruits are dry capsules.
