Poma lift (4 o 6)

Poma lift

The one-person Poma (short for Pomalski) lift drags the skier up the slope by means of a bar and disc that fits between the legs. The first such lift was introduced at Mt Ruapehu in 1961. The Poma lift pictured, at Coronet Peak, is no longer in use.
