Pūriri berries and flowers

Pūriri (Vitex lucens) is a canopy tree of coastal and lowland forest in northern New Zealand. The tree grows to a height of 20 metres and develops a wide, spreading crown. Native pigeons feed on the bright pink fruits and disperse the seed.
