Wasps and bees in New Zealand range from large introduced bumblebees to tiny native wasps. These specimens are a small sample of the 2,000–3,000 species of wasps and bees found in New Zealand. In the front row (left to right) are three introduced honeybees, three species of bumblebee and a German wasp. Behind are seven native wasps.
