Hamilton's frog and Archey's frog

Frogs require a moist environment, as they breathe through their skin. Hamilton’s frogs (top) live in a rock jumble on Stephen’s Island, where puddles after rain are a luxury. Otherwise they seek out damp cavities below rocks. Archey’s frogs (bottom) often climb into tree ferns and other plants in search of moisture and food.
