The raw energy of punk rock recharged New Zealand's flagging local recording industry. For his newly created label Ripper Records, DJ Bryan Staff recorded two songs by each of six Auckland punk bands – the Scavengers, Terrorways, Proud Scum, Primmers, Swingers and Toy Love. This is the cover for that classic album, which Staff sold direct to record stores from the back of his Morris van.
