Jacky Guard: whaling scraper (1 o 2)

Jacky Guard: whaling scraper

John (Jacky) Guard began shore whaling from Tory Channel in the late 1820s, later moving to Kākāpō Bay in Port Underwood. This implement, which remained in the possession of his descendants for many years, is a scraper used to remove flesh residues from whalebones.
