Sawing medal (2 o 2)

Sawing medal

Lowther Farquharson and Jim McIntosh of Southland were champions with the crosscut saw. In 1909 they set a world record for sawing a 20-inch kahikatea log in 15.2 seconds. The record stood until 1956. This medal from 1916 is for another of their competition successes.
