Songs from the Second World War

Les Cleveland had an enduring fascination with songs performed by servicemen during the Second World War. This 1959 long-playing record, The songs we sang, was one of several he recorded to document the songs before they were lost. Here Cleveland and the D-Day Dodgers sing part of ‘The fighting kiwi’.
