Work of art, funded by New Zealand On Air, was a highly successful series of stand-alone documentaries exploring the people and projects that had achieved distinction in New Zealand's creative arts. This 1993 programme discusses the work of the Auckland photographer Robin Morrison, who had first come to national attention with his prize-winning book South Island of New Zealand from the road. This programme was the first one to screen in the Work of art slot. It won Best Television Documentary in the 1994 New Zealand Film and Television Awards.
