The members of rock band Dragon lived the stereotypical rock 'n' roll lifestyle. After finding success in Australia from 1976, they overindulged in drugs and alcohol, trashed hotel rooms and crashed cars. Two band members died from drug overdoses, including Paul Hewson. Hewson co-wrote 'April sun in Cuba' (1977) with singer Marc Hunter. The song reached number two on the Australian music charts and number nine in New Zealand.
