Advertisement for 1990 Commonwealth Games

This advertisement for the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland was directed by Lee Tamahori. Set behind the lines on the Western Front in 1917, during the First World War, it shows allied soldiers running a race and promising to do it again some time – first at the inaugural 1930 Empire Games in Canada and then in Auckland.
