Where defence force and police personnel are deployed, 2012

In the early 2000s New Zealand peacekeepers were deployed to countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific. Peacekeepers included personnel from the armed forces and from the police. New Zealand forces have been involved in the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) group in Sinai since 1981.
